These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Site, including venue owners or businesses whose listings appear on the Site.
The Costa Guide is an independent travel and lifestyle discovery platform covering venues, restaurants, bars, hotels, events, and activities across Spain's Costa del Sol. We publish editorial content to help visitors and residents discover places and experiences in the region.
The Costa Guide is operated by a company registered in England and Wales.
The Site is provided as a general information and editorial guide only.
Nothing on this Site constitutes professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to legal, financial, medical, or travel advice. You should not rely on any information on the Site as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
We do not operate as a travel agent, booking platform, or intermediary. We do not make reservations, sell tickets, or process payments on behalf of any venue or provider. Any bookings, purchases, or arrangements you make with third parties are entirely between you and that third party.
We aim to publish accurate and up-to-date information, but we cannot guarantee that all content on the Site — including opening hours, prices, addresses, contact details, menus, event dates, or operational status — is current or correct at the time you access it.

Before making any booking, travel arrangement, purchase, or decision based on information found on this Site, you should verify all relevant details directly with the venue or provider concerned.
Where a venue, business, or operator has submitted content for listing on this Site (including descriptions, photos, opening hours, prices, or contact details), that venue or operator warrants that:
We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any listing at our discretion, but we are not obligated to verify or fact-check all submitted content before publication. The responsibility for the accuracy of listing information lies primarily with the submitting party.
We accept no liability for loss or damage arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information submitted by venue owners or third-party sources and published on the Site in good faith.
The Site may contain affiliate links to third-party booking platforms, ticketing services, or retailers (such as GetYourGuide). If you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase or booking, we may receive a small commission. This does not affect the price you pay.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content. Venues and businesses featured in our editorial guides are not charged for inclusion, and paid listings (where offered) are clearly identified as such.
All transactions you make through third-party platforms are subject to those platforms' own terms and conditions. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a third-party provider.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.

These additional terms apply to any venue owner, operator, or business representative who claims, registers, or manages a listing on The Costa Guide ("Venue Owner"). By registering or claiming a listing, you agree to these Venue Owner Terms in addition to the General Terms set out in Part A above. In the event of any conflict between Part A and Part B, Part B shall take precedence in relation to venue listings.
The Costa Guide offers two tiers of listing for venue owners:
Free Listing
A basic listing displaying your venue name, address, and telephone number. Some or all of this information may be sourced automatically from publicly available data or third-party services such as the Google Places API (see Section 21). Free listings may be created by us without prior contact with the venue owner. Venue owners may claim their free listing to manage their business description.
Subscriber Listing (Paid)
An enhanced listing that, in addition to all Free Listing content, may include: email address, social media links, opening hours, booking or reservation links, a photo gallery, and any other features made available to subscribers from time to time. Subscriber listings require an active paid subscription.
We reserve the right to modify the features available on each tier, and to introduce new tiers or pricing, at any time with reasonable notice.
If your venue appears on the Site as a result of publicly available data or Google API data, you may claim your listing by registering an account. Once claimed, you may update your business description through your account dashboard.
Your free listing description must be a factual, plain-text description of your venue, business, or services. It is your opportunity to tell visitors what your venue is, what you offer, and what makes it worth a visit.
The following content is strictly prohibited in a free listing description, regardless of how it is presented or formatted:
This restriction exists to ensure fairness between free and paid tiers. Descriptions found to contain prohibited content will be edited or removed without notice. Repeated violations may result in suspension of your listing or account.
By submitting or updating your business description, you confirm that the content is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. You are responsible for keeping your description up to date.
A Subscriber Listing requires payment of the applicable subscription fee. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented to you at the point of purchase. Your subscription will remain active until cancelled.
As a subscriber, you may populate the additional listing fields made available to you, which may include: email address, social media links, opening hours, booking or reservation links, and gallery images. You are responsible for ensuring all information entered into these fields is accurate and kept up to date.
If you cancel your subscription or your subscription lapses, your listing will revert to a Free Listing. Enhanced content (additional fields, gallery images, etc.) will be removed or hidden from your public listing. We are not responsible for any loss of visibility or bookings resulting from a downgrade.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at hello@thecostaguide.com.
Regardless of tier, all content submitted by venue owners must comply with the following standards:
We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any content that, in our reasonable judgement, does not meet these standards.
Some listing information on the Site — including venue names, addresses, telephone numbers, and other details — may be sourced automatically from third-party services including the Google Places API or similar publicly available data sources.
You acknowledge and agree that:
If you believe any automatically sourced information about your venue is inaccurate, you should claim your listing and update the relevant details, or contact us at hello@thecostaguide.com.
By submitting any content to the Site (including descriptions, images, contact details, and other listing information), you grant The Costa Guide a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, reproduce, and adapt that content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Site and its associated services.
This licence continues for as long as your content remains on the Site. If you remove your content or your listing is deleted, the licence for that specific content ends, subject to any copies retained in backups or archives for a reasonable period.
You retain ownership of any content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your venue name, images, or business information.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without liability to you, to:
Where reasonably practicable, we will notify you of material changes to your listing. However, we are not obligated to do so where the change is required to address a breach of these Terms or an urgent operational matter.
By registering and managing a listing on the Site, you represent and warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for:
The limitation of liability provisions in Section 10 of Part A apply equally to all claims arising under these Venue Owner Terms.
